Quantum Mode begins when the ordinary arrow of political causality can no longer be assumed. A political act may not become real at conduct. It may stabilize later through reception, observation, repetition, institutional uptake, or collapse. Quantum Power analyzes the interval in which an act becomes an event.
A acts through means m, but the movement toward B(e) must pass through a banded field of reality in which causal completion is conditional.

Einstein searched for a unified field theory. Quantum Power seeks a unified grammar of mediated political force: actor, means, environment, observer, time, Reality Band, and collapse.
What Quantum Mode does
Quantum Mode tests the arrow. Classical Mode assumes that power moves from A to B. Cubist Mode specifies the relation as A(m) → B(e). Quantum Mode asks whether the movement itself has stabilized.
Classical Mode identifies the line. Cubist Mode refracts the line. Quantum Mode tests whether the arrow can complete.
Quantum Mode is used when a political act becomes meaningful through reception, observation, repetition, delay, institutional uptake, or contested stabilization. It is the mode for events that are not completed at conduct.
Quantum Power is a grammar for mediated political causality, not a physics claim.

The ordinary arrow assumes that causality moves forward. The Reality Band vector asks whether the movement from A(m) to B(e) has actually completed. The shaft is no longer a simple line — it is a band. The arrowhead is no longer guaranteed — it is parenthesized because causal completion is conditional.
The arrow must be earned.
The Reality Band
A Reality Band is a structured range within which a political object can become real for a particular audience, institution, observer, or plane of analysis. It is not merely opinion. It is a stabilized field of perception, evidence, affect, trust, social location, symbolic markers, and institutional authority.
The two endpoints mark a bounded range of possible stabilization. The object is read from somewhere along that range. The exact position does not need to be mathematically precise; the visual model forces the analyst to ask where the event is being tuned.

Example. The same speech may stabilize as authenticity in one Reality Band, threat in another, comedy in another, and legal evidence in another.

Read the lanes as parallel Reality Bands. The shaded interval is ΔT — the gap between conduct and reception. An arrow only earns its head once its band crosses the stabilization threshold. When bands disagree, the event is fragmented; when one band fires too hard and too fast, it over-collapses.
The parenthesized arrowhead
The parenthesized arrowhead marks the conditional completion of causal flow. In classical analysis, the arrow is assumed: A acts, B is affected. In Quantum Mode, the arrow is tested. The act may not cross the Reality Band. It may cross only for some audiences. It may stabilize later. It may be reopened. It may be over-collapsed or under-collapsed.
The parenthesis means: the effect may complete, but it is not guaranteed.

The event is not completed at conduct
Classical political analysis often treats the event as substantially completed when the actor acts. Quantum Mode rejects this assumption when mediated politics makes reception part of the event.
Power often lives in the interval.
A statement, filing, image, protest, joke, memo, or policy may become politically real only after circulation, repetition, commentary, institutional uptake, legal interpretation, archival discovery, or delayed reception.

Quantum Differential

The Quantum Differential measures the political interval between conduct and reception. If the act becomes politically meaningful long after it occurs, the event cannot be treated as completed at conduct.
A small ΔT may preserve classical analysis. A large or politically decisive ΔT may require Quantum Mode.

- an institutional decision becomes retaliatory only after sequence reveals pattern;
- a symbolic gesture becomes meaningful after later violence or endorsement.
Methodological tool. Not a literal physics formula.
Observation and collapse
Observation is not always passive. In mediated politics, observation can stabilize, distort, reopen, or collapse the meaning of an event.
The act of receiving, naming, recording, circulating, interpreting, or authorizing a political object.
The process by which an unstable or negotiable political object becomes stabilized as a determinate event within a Reality Band.
A political event may remain open until it is named by a court, framed by media, repeated by an influencer, archived by an institution, recognized by a movement, or rejected by a public.
Some observers do not merely see the event. They help make the event politically real.
Significant Observer
A Significant Observer is an observer with enough institutional, symbolic, media, legal, social, or epistemic authority to help stabilize, reopen, distort, or collapse a political event.
Not every observer has the same force. A court, president, journalist, activist, university, agency, platform, religious leader, celebrity, donor, expert, or mass public may function as a Significant Observer when its recognition changes what the event becomes.

- Who can reopen the event after apparent closure?
- Who is believed inside the relevant Reality Band?
Example. A minor statement becomes a national scandal when a major media institution, court, or political leader treats it as evidence of something larger.
Collapse states
Quantum Mode diagnoses whether the event has stabilized, failed to stabilize, or stabilized too aggressively.
The event has settled into a dominant meaning within the relevant Reality Band.
A court ruling fixes the legal status of a dispute.
The event has not stabilized enough to become politically effective or publicly legible.
A serious allegation remains invisible because no Significant Observer recognizes it.
The event has been fixed too quickly, too narrowly, or too aggressively, suppressing ambiguity, context, or competing meanings.
A complex event is prematurely reduced to scandal, hoax, treason, joke, or proof.
A previously stabilized event becomes unstable again because new evidence, observers, timing, or reception changes its meaning.
An old document becomes newly important after later events reveal its significance.
The event stabilizes differently across competing Reality Bands.
One public receives the event as accountability; another receives it as persecution.
Stability and negotiability
Quantum Mode asks not only what the event means, but how stable that meaning is.
A qualitative measure of how firmly an event has stabilized within or across Reality Bands.

The degree to which an event's meaning remains open, contestable, revisable, or susceptible to reframing.

High stability means the arrow has largely completed. High negotiability means the arrow remains open.
Quantum Mode is agentic
Quantum Mode is not automatic. To activate it is to participate in analysis as an observer. The analyst selects a Reality Band, tunes a plane, identifies Significant Observers, and decides whether the arrow has completed.
Participation in this analysis is itself an act of power.
The analyst does not invent the event, but the analyst does choose where and how the event is read. That choice matters because political reality is often stabilized through acts of naming, framing, citation, archiving, and interpretation.

Quantum social theory and the unified field analogy
Quantum Mode draws inspiration from thinkers who challenge the idea that observers stand outside the systems they describe. Alexander Wendt's quantum social theory and Karen Barad's agential realism are useful here because both unsettle the classical image of detached objects moving through neutral space.
The "walking, talking wave function" is a useful image for political actors under mediated conditions: not stable billiard balls, but situated, observed, and differently stabilized across fields.
Einstein's unfinished search for a unified field theory provides an analogy for Quantum Power's ambition: not to reduce politics to physics, but to seek a more unified grammar for relations that classical political mechanics cannot adequately describe.
Do not imply that Wendt, Barad, or Einstein endorse this project. The analogy is methodological. Politics is not physics.

Quantum Power finding
The tool concludes with a clear final finding from the following possibilities.
The event has stabilized. The parenthesized arrowhead has effectively completed within the dominant Reality Band.
The event remains conditional. The arrow has not fully completed because reception, observer authority, or Reality Band stabilization remains unresolved.
The event has completed differently across competing Reality Bands. One audience treats it as settled; another treats it as negotiable or false.
The event was previously stabilized but has been reopened by new evidence, observers, timing, or reception.
The event has been fixed too quickly or too narrowly, suppressing relevant ambiguity or plane-specific complexity.
The event has not been sufficiently recognized or stabilized to become politically effective, despite available conduct or evidence.
